ALPHA 1.1 Update!
Hello everyone! Ive been working really hard to update the game from where it was to where it is right now. The main focus of this update was to give an orientation to the project in a story driven way and also implementing some tutorials to prepare for future updates and challenges. Keep in mind that all the new artwork is in development so the only thing that will probably stay for a long time without being unchaged are the character sprites. Right now the game will take a path i did not expect to take. A path without much ambience. What i mean by this is that i will focus mainly on the mechanics and story progression rather than polishing certain scenes or aspects.
For example, i would like to add a lot of animations to the main character like kneeling to reach the mushroom and carrying it with its hands but the more animations i add for her the worst the game will play. For some strange reason construct consumes a lot more of ram with each animation I add and its beacause the animations are high res thats why all her animations are at 10FPS. Anyways ill try to make the best possible product.
Main changes and additions
5 new scenes to watch and play
New fliying system (in some scenarios you can get out of the screen)
Pause system (Wake up to restart level with sound control)
New main character animations
New tutorials
New animations, sprites and mechanic for the trapped enemies
2 New extra challenges to beat untill the game is updated
A lot of bugfixes not worth even mentioning
More information about the proyect
-Does the game has any dialogue? No, it doesent. I want my game to be an experience that anyone can understand without reading a single line of dialoge or text. This also includes all of the story explanation and background.
-When will the next update come? Probably in one month. I'd like to try my best on working for one month so i can see how well i progress in the game without pressure.
-What will the update have? Two new chapters added with new scenarios, the posibility to interact with the mushroom in the sanctuary, new scenarios and low quality animations and more Extra challenges.
-What happened with making the proyect on Unity? Right now i need to keep making the game on construct. But after the next update there are two possibilities. 1- I stay with construct and all its limitations to make some kind of playable low res demo to catch more attention and views. 2- Go to unity straight to develop the game. That will slow the progress but it will show its cool results.
I would love to hear your thougts about the game, that would help me improve in things i didnt see or fix!
